The SM5 helmet is the result of more than five years of intensive study, development and testing. Alpinestars has scrutinized every possible aspect to develop a helmet that is safe and thoughtfully designed to provide optimal protection and comfort.

• Lightweight outer shell made of a technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic
• Inner and outer surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of oblique impacts
• Multiple density inner lining to provide improved shock absorption
• Patented helmet shield release system ensures visor is released with the correct, predetermined force regardless of impact angle
• Maximized ventilation and high heat exchange thanks to air intake and exhaust vents
• Helmet shield designed to direct air into the vents to improve airflow
• Stainless steel D-rings for a snug and secure fit
• Pair of side shells with soft EPS foam prevents collarbone injuries in the event of an impact
• Emergency release system and removable cheek pads allow for safe and easy removal of cheek pads when helmet is on
• Removable comfort lining with Silverplus antibacterial-treated fabric for superior moisture management
• Antimicrobial lining is removable and washable
• Drinking tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads of the helmet
